Sometimes, traveling makes me realize of the beauty things I truly need.. but it's so hard to leave my 5-step skincare routine 🤪 does it count if I transfer them all into super tiny bottles so they all could fit?
My travel must have: gel cleanser (like 27 rosiers), non-emulsifying oil to use as first cleanse and body oil, a simple rose mist from wholefoods so that I could share it generously with the whole fam, face oil, sunscreen for the whole fam (mdsolarscience kidcream and kinfield daily dew).
Makeup: I am always tempted to bring more but really, these will do: A multipurpose cream color (like from manasi7), bronzer and a concealer (ere perez color corrector). that NATO brush you mentioned sounds amazing to keep in the purse!!
A cut up soap bar would be handy for travel. I forego conditioner during travel (sorry ends of my hair) and I would bring Elave Sensitive shampoo that suit everybody.
I guess you could see a pattern, that I try to bring as many multipurpose products as possible and ones I could share with my husband and my son.
Haha, exactly! Travel packing is a terrific and quick way to discover your essentials. I am 100% on board with decanting them into super tiny bottles; whatever works so I can have them with me!
Ooo, I've been curious about 27 rosiers (because of Ayla, of course), so big points added knowing it's your gel cleanser must-have. I love learning what you pack for the whole fam too. And your makeup kit sounds perfect: minimal but effective.
Yes, the NOTO brush is the only brush I'll ever bring while traveling now!
Very true. Soap bars are indeed convenient for travel. And I'm the same; no need for conditioner during travel. And if my hair really needs it, I find any facial oil on hand would do the trick.
Your travel pack sounds great, Asti! Thank you for sharing!
I was surprised 27 Rosiers Gel cleanser works gently for me. I think it's most comparable to Klur cleanser in terms of texture and function, but I enjoy the 27 Rosiers more, It has been more gentle on my skin, the scent is refreshing and dew like, my skin just craves it especially for the summer. I tried their mask but it was a no for me.
I was thinking, I have been enjoying Mera Merus tallow bar soap (been out of stock though sadly) I would have used that as my second cleanse and body cleanse too for travelling and it's suitable for every one and age. So surprised it's gentle for my facial skin. It's so so good.
Ooo, I may have to pick 27 Rosiers gel cleanser for the summer then!
And it's great to hear you're enjoying Mera Merus tallow bar soap too! I've only ever seen/heard about it from Mercedes/L'Amour et la Musique. I've been using Stark's Mudpuppy and am loving it!
Another great newsletter, thank you Maggie; it’s always such fun to read your evocative descriptions. And I’m happy to have encountered a fellow non-lash-curler!
my husband started using sandor recently—it smells divine; i'm so tempted to try it out on my more textured hair. also came to my attention recently that i need a deodorant. going to try that salt and stone, stat!

Thanks so much, D! I just don't have the will to curl my lashes, haha!
Me neither! Plus, if I did curl them I think they'd just end up poking my eyelids, ha ha.

Sándor smells SO good; would love to hear how it works with your more textured hair. And so happy you're going to try the SALT&STONE deodorant!
This packing sounds like fun!! Thank you for sharing, I always love your recommendations.
Thanks so much, Lilia!
